Our Story...
On March 8, 1977, the Central Community Historical Society (CCHS) was officially established. Their goal was to create a centrally-located historical society that would serve all communities throughout the county.
By 1987, the society acquired a building to be used as a museum for the restoration and preservation of local area history and genealogy. The Museum is a non-profit organization where volunteers keep it up and running. Its the volunteers and individuals who donate to the museum that make this community gem possible. New volunteers are always needed and welcomed.
The Historical Society is still expanding and collecting items today under the leader ship of Ann Soenksen who serves as president of the Society. With the help of volunteers and donators the museum will be a valuable asset for generation to come.
